As the PETG-HF is being discontinued, seeing if anyone has actually tried the ‘new’ basic PETG, curious as to the sheen if it is glossy/matte. Really liked the matte PETG-HF, have tried many other brands PETG-HF variations but they were still too glossy/shiny for my liking.
I have. It’s a bit glossier than HF, and seems to have better mechanical properties, but I’ve found it’s more prone to warping on large prints.
Disappointed to see HF go away, I bought up a bunch of my “standard” colors from local sellers today so at least I’ll be good for awhile and can find replacements on my own timeline.
Appreciate the response, by any chance would you have a picture for a comparison of the ‘New PETG’ vs PETG-HF?
It is indeed a bit glossier than HF. But I love this. I prefer the gloss. Here’s a current print with Reflex Blue. I have not experienced any issues with it. Outstanding adhesion and typical BL performance.
Thanks! It does look nice, but I still prefer the matte, appreciate the picture!
It sticks to textured PEI and even more so with smooth build plates than almost other filaments other than the PETG CF.
Sufficient to lift some of the textured PEI gold colouring.
Easy to print, seems fine when printed. The colour range has just been increased.
Finally a green, the oft forgotten colour that Bambu Lab seems to ignore.
