Has Anyone Used OVV3d Tricolor PLA?

I’ve only had my P1S/AMS for a few days. I am addicted LOL. I received an A1 Mini today. I’ve done about 25 prints with the P1S already. Everything from whistles, dessicant holders, V Spooler X, soap trays etc… I purchased a spool of OVV3D Tricolor PLA and would like to try it. I’ve read that the Bambu presets will probably work. Any suggestions? I’ve googled OVVD3 settings for the Bambu, with no luck.

Thanks
Bill

I would start with “Generic PLA” profile. If you want to fine tune it you would need to run some tests.

I use the presets for all my random Amazon filaments.

The three most important factors for successful prints:

  • Dry filament. Even if you think it is dry, dry it until stops losing weight.
  • A clean build plate. Detergent and water, thorough rinsing, clean drying towel, don’t touch the print surface.
  • Calibrated filament. Learn to do this yourself, no one else is printing with exactly the same conditions.

Thanks, I will try the presets and see what happens.

I am working on building a dryer and a separate dry storage cabinet. I guess I need to work on calibrating the filaments. Thanks for the response.

Your P1S and an empty spool box is all you need to dry your filament. It keeps you from printing while it dries, but it is cheap and effective.

In case this isn’t too late, that filament’s temperatures are listed between 190C and 200C. I’ve seen some users have been getting good results by setting the first layer at 210C, but doing the whole thing at 220 to 240 (standard PLA temperatures) is not recommended.
