I do live in Germany also but never heard of GEL. Is that an abbreviation of a company? Do you know if its a German company and therefore if the devices are shipped from the DE warehouse?

Hi,
I just received the shipping confirmation. I come from Germany. But GEL doesn’t mean anything to me either. However, the link goes to DHL. What surprises me is that the confirmation says “H2D AMS Combo / Standard / ETD: ship around April.8th” and my order history says “Bambu Lab H2D - H2D AMS Combo / Standard / In stock”. It was also definitely available. I ordered about 20 minutes after release.

They are most time only shipping large items, last time I got something it was about 150 kilos. I only ordered the AMS Combo, no laser or additional stuff.
(for the german guys: Ich hab da letztens n mehrteiliges Sofa drüber bekommen, die liefern auf jeden Fall innerdeutsch per LKW mit Rampe aus)

its clearly written… printers will ship 02 or 03 april. the stuff that ships out to you if you get a tracking is either accessories or parts

@Gortosch Ich denke die Information mit dem 8. April bezieht sich auf das aktuelle Datum aus dem Shop.
So ist nämlich bei meiner Bestellbestätigung (in Stock) zu sehen und jetzt bei der neuen Mail mit der GEL Trackingnummer der 8 April.
Also somit gehe ich stark davon aus, dass wir ganz bald, (mal abgesehen von den extrem vielen schlechten Bewertungen von GEL bei Google und Trust,pilot) unseren Drucker in den Händen halten können!

i have the exact same info, and also that GEL tracking number which i’ve never got before, it has always been through DHL until now (i’m based in Portugal)
I’m just waiting for that initial scan. I’m East Coast, so calculated that if it were picked up today, it should get here around Tuesday.
I’m hoping for mondayish.
@Rico @Gortosch Ich habe das auch mal nachgeschaut, ich habe ja ebenfalls ne Sendungsnummer bekommen, mit der Info, dass das nun raus ist.
Dort steht als Artikel ebenfalls “H2D AMS Combo / Standard / ETD: ship around April.8th”, in meiner Rechnung, die nach dem Versand kam, steht “H2D AMS Combo / Standard / In stock”.
Das bestärkt sich noch weiter da aktuell im Shop ja auch “ship around April.8th” steht, das also wohl nur aus der Datenbank als aktueller Artikelname im Shop ausgelesen wird.
Daher gehe ich stark davon aus das wir, die eine Versandbestätigung haben, auch die Ware jetzt zeitnah kriegen. Ansonsten würden die Label und Abholungen beauftragen, ohne das die Ware bereit wäre.

To answer your question: Thats common practice. Creating a shipping label and therefore being able to print it makes sure that you can prepare a shipment BEFORE the shipping company picks it up. Furthermore it enables the shipping company to anticipate on amounts and therefore capacity needed.
I am, on one hand, happy that I know something has happened on the other hand it doesnt actually mean the package is actually moving or you have a delivery date.
Having said that… My package are shipped with 3 different carriers now: DHL, DPD and GEL. This makes tracking it even worse.

Exactly the same for me, not the most efficient logistics approach, but let’s see how it goes
You could create an account at www.17track.net and enter all your shipping numbers, which creates a list with all current states.
Im guessing the printer will be most time shipped with GEL in germany. For me, I only ordered the printer, not a single extra, so I only got a GEL tracking number.
