When I first got the printer, and this thing sounded off, it startled me!

I am confused as to how to respond.

Firstly, I am sorry to hear it startled you and I hope you have recovered.

Are you just asking if others were startled?

If not, are you seeking:

  1. How to turn it off?
  2. A doctor to prescribe something?
  3. If anyone else heard it?

While waiting for the P2S to arrive, I visited several YouTube sites on features and unboxing of this new printer, none of them mentioned the printer making different noises , like when it finishes a task, or finishes a print. The WIKI has no mention of tone noises.
I wasn’t expecting it, but it is a nice feature, just that none of my other printers make like this. I was also wondering what a print farm would sound like, with many P2S’s, and does the H series also make noises? It’s pretty loud.

You can turn it off, this was the best screenshot I could find.

  1. Go to settings
  2. Navigate to sound
  3. Toggle sound off

All Bambu Lab printers have this sound.

I am not a fan of it and turned it off on all five of mine.

All Bambu printers have this? I didn’t know that! And no mention of this in the Wiki?

It’s on the P2S, not the P1S or the X1C that I own. Good to know that I can turn it off on the P2S if it gets really annoying.

I could have sworn it was on my P1S printers, it was on all the A series.

It may have been introduced from the A series onwards. It appears on the H2 series printers as well.

Who keeps the extra sounds on the Bambu printers on?

  • I like the sound and I keep it on
  • I enjoy the silence and I turned it off
  • My printer does not have this feature and I miss it sighs.
  • My printer does not have this feature and I don‘t care

The P2S has really loud beeps compared to other printers (probably due to the more powerful steppers) and I wish there was volume control. I turned off the sounds immediately as they were so loud and from what I knew from the first beep, they weren’t the same tones as the A1 Mini. I really love the A1 Mini’s sounds though, and they are just the right volume.
