I keep trying to use ironing on my new X2D printer and with the same files I used to use on my P1S printer, I now get a lot of ironing artifacts. I tried printing an ironing test such as this one Ultimate Ironing Test-Das Original - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld and used the profiles that suited me best
I then went to print this design with the settings loaded in, on Sports, with the ironing settings to closely match with the ironing test Arbol navidad articulado editable.3mf (407.7 KB)
One of the things I’ve found that affects ironing greatly is the line width of the top layer. Changing the line width of the top layer to something like 0.32 may help (if you’re not already doing that). Also, direction can affect ironing results as well. I published some ironing settings a while back that work good for me and worked just as good on my P2S as they did on my P1S’s. HTH
In this case no, but I would assume that it will mostly just change speed and accelleration, so it should still land somewhere similar to what the test shows. But I will try one in sports mode regardless
