My brand new a1 keeps giving me the “unable to feed filament into the extruder” error. I have tied everything. No broken filament, no other problems, went through the whole guide on the wiki and everything was fine. Whenever it tries to load filament from slot 1 or 3, it tries to load and pushes the filament a little then pushes it back out, does it like 6 times before it does the beep of death. Anyone have any ideas?

Are any ptfe tubes in strange angles? Because ptfe tubes create a lot of friction

Yeah, I wondered the same thing, but they look the same as in the instructions.

Also try manually feeding the filament, this may help you find the issue, because if you realize there is too much friction and you can’t manually push it in, then an AMS motor also won’t.

Try sharing some pics so I can help you more!

Try to reseat those ptfe. Sounds like it’s getting caught on an edge. Disconnect them, trim the bitten into last 1mm off ,cutting as flatly as possible (there are tools to help) . Ram that ptfe all the way into the fitting, do not apply backwards force until it is fully all the way in.

Just did, not the problem. The ams lite pushes the filament a little, and pulls it out, but it happens really quickly, the gears are fine, odometer wheel works, still can’t change color
