Hi Guys
I started a print today and received a first layer failure notification… which I could see was correct, so I cancelled the print.
When I got home and went to take a look, I was cleaning the plate and found this broken piece of plastic with a hex bolt screwed in, lying in the base of the enclosure under the base plate.
Can anyone identify what this is and where it has broken from? The printer is an X1C. The part is about 10mm long and 5mm in diameter 
Any help appreciated.
that looks like part of the nozzle wiper. check your nozzle wiper and make sure it looks okay
Thanks - that was the first place I looked and I dont see anything immediately wrong with the wiper… this part is slightly bigger…
That’s one of the posts of the front head cover that attaches the fan, you’re at least the 3rd one reporting it in this forum

Is there any reason why these are breaking?
Would BambuLab will replace these this under any warranty? My printer was bought on 29th May 2
It’s not major after 18 mths of use and you can live with it. You can try the warranty you have nothing to loose. It was certainly overtightened in production if you never touched it or it may be that you had several occurences of the cover falling off putting strain on the attachment

If you’re in the US I think that part is on the 12 month warranty list… if you’re in a country that has a minimum 24 month warranty you should be good to go. As philch said I’d try either way.
If they can’t help that fan is held in place pretty securely with the other screws and the gasket that connects the fan mouth to the bottom.
