Help getting started with AMS - Error code when trying to load

Hi, I recently purchased my first Bambu Lab P1S printer with an AMS (ref), and the printer is working great

Issue:

My AMS will connect but is not able to load filament, see below for a detailed example of this issue -

Error Code Example:

Here is the error code displaying now, 07ff-2000-0002-0002 taken as a screenshot from the video above -

This is strange, what is this code? I can’t seem to find it and I am reaching out for your help. My printer is running Firmware Version v01.08.02.00 now, how can I get my AMS up and running for use?

You don’t need to “Load the filament” from the AMS. It’s done automatically. Loading the filament is for the spool holder. Just insert it into the AMS. The AMS will grab the filament and hold it in a ready state for use. Depending on the version of Bambu studio you use you will need to enable the AMS.

Thank you for the quick response Jon!! I will try this next

In Bambu Studio, when you send the print you should see your AMS and Studio will try to link the filament you have sliced with the filament you have in your AMS. If you click the drop down it will show you what is loaded in your AMS.

The error code you see says it is not seeing the filament from a mannual spool load at the extruder. It is expecting filament from the external spool, not the AMS. Did you re-slice your model using a filament from the listed AMS spools?
