Hi, just yesterday my printer was working fine and suddenly didnt turn back on properly after a power cycle. I thought the printer was dead and after seeing a bunch of people had the same problem and the solution was to short 2 points on the ap board, it came back to life. After I got the printer back to work I downgraded the firmware and when I did the calibrations, something went terribly wrong especially with the nozzle offset calibration. The right nozzles worked fine but when it got to the left nozzle, I was away and got a message saying the nozzle touched the build plate and when I went the rear part had a huge gouge. So I checked and did the nozzle calibration again and this time took a video same thing happened… my printer isn’t under warranty anymore but this all happened since they’re stupid firmware issues the printer was just fine the day before. The problem is towards the end of the video its like the left nozzle slips off the bed for some reason. I also noticed during homing, the toolhead now touches the front door. Has this happened to anybody else and were you able to fix it? The right nozzles are fine and aligned but the left csnt get through the calibration. I also did a factory reset and to no avail. See the video on the link
How long have you had your printer?
A year and a half just about
What buildplate are you using?
A biqu glacier. Been using forever. I alternate often
Ok. Have you tried starting the calibration from bambu studio?
No why would it be any different?
\/(0_0)\/ I have no idea. What firmware version are you on? Have you tried doing the update offline?
I tried on both 1.02 and 1.01.5 and even did a factory reset and the left nozzle keeps slipping of behind thr bed
I’m sorry, I don’t have any experience with dual-nozzle printers. My experience lies more in single-nozzle and software.
So then why are you troubleshooting their issues?
If you don’t know, don’t guess. It isn’t helpful if you just confuse people who are already frustrated, and it makes it harder for the experienced folks here who DO know about these issues to help out.
Because I can help with what experience I do have. When I hit the limit of my capabilities, I step back and allow others with more skills/experience to assist. In addition, at least 75% of troubleshooting IS guessing what the problem is.
No, this is not how correct troubleshooting happens. There should be no guessing.
Someone good at troubleshooting will assess the situation, ask pertinent questions where information is lacking and make an informed diagnosis.
I’m wrong, you’re right, I’m an idiot, do your thing.
(I’m being serious here)
This is you helping?
My dude, good troubleshooting is not 75% guessing. It’s understanding what’s going on, asking questions, and using experience to suggest safe and plausible solutions, at the level people are operating at. It is not throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.
We take pride in helping people to the best of our abilities here, spamming every topic with generic one-sentence ideas isn’t the goal. Wanting to help is good. Being actually helpful is great. Don’t be good, be great. ![]()
The first one is unfair. You took the last comment I made out of the end of a thread and used it as proof, completely out of its context. And in the second, I made it clear that I was being facetious. Also, if you want to complain, please move it to DMs so that this thread can go back to its original topic. I’m sorry, @Peterpan that I couldn’t help, and I hope that someone here can fix your issue, even if I couldn’t.
This thread should have some solutions!
U can’t escape from Carbon forge dude he’s the final boss ![]()
btw
after seeing a bunch of people had the same problem and the solution was to short 2 points on the ap board
cmon… ![]()
I was also puzzled by that until I researched it and it actually seems to be advised by BL Support itself ![]()
This is what I would have recommended and seeing as you have already done this, probably time to open a support ticket.
