Guys, I have an A1, and I can’t figure out where these parts should be installed. I’ve gone through tons of videos but still can’t find their location. Help, please! ![]()
Are they part of the hot-end retention clip system?
Do you know, or are you asking? ![]()
If the central circle wasn’t there, it looks like the left side of the retaining clip.
To answer your most recent question, essentially both.
I was unsure if you knew and were asking others in some weird quiz, or if you found them and are unsure where they came from.
You never stated if they were spare or if your printer functions.
Thank you for your participation. Do you mean this?

It’s not from here, and yes, the printer works without any issues. But this nagging feeling that there are some leftover parts just won’t let me rest…
Do you know if you can just buy the retaining clip, I broke the left side of the clip mechanism that holds the nozzle in place.
I do not want to buy the whole hotend assembly because that it like 20 dollars
Are those leftover parts after assembling the printer? Where did you find those parts?
They look like some kind of retaining clips that get screwed in somewhere. Without disassembling my A1, I took off various covers and looked around and couldn’t find those parts anywhere. Looked at a pictures of the A1 disassembled and I also can’t seem to locate those.
Unfortunately you can’t purchase the clip by itself and will need to spend the money to buy the heating assembly.
Oh, okay. But let me tell you this so when I was printing The filament did not stick to the bed property and it just all stuck to the nozzle. So when I was cleaning the nozzle I accidentally ripped out the right side of this clip in a big filament glob ball, so I tried to take the right side of the clip and bent the clip bad. Do you think that there is a way to repair that for less than 20 dollars to cost to buy a new heating assembly? But even before this happend after taking out the nozzle a couple of times the right clip started to get loose and then started to just fall of. So now it was loose even before this happend. And now when ever I try to out the nozzle back in I try to do it and then the right clip just falls of and then I put it back in again over and over again. It takes me like eight tries so that is very annoying. And also what should I do differently so this does not happen in the future?
Yes, these are parts from my A1, and I can’t figure out where they belong. For some reason, I had to disassemble my printer, and after reassembly, these parts were left over.
What did you disassemble and how far did you get into the disassembly?
A bit more digging and you can find 2 of those clips are used on the z axis tensioning screws. They are apparently “anti-rotation washers”. You can see more on Bambu’s Wiki page for the A1.
wait is it the z axis tentioning thing in acorner you can see the zaxis tentioning acces
Yes it’s in the corner where you would perform the z belt tensioning. It’s right under the plastic cover. You have to remove the base from the printer frame see the parts the OP is trying to identify.
Nice spot.
why you can answer only 8 letters normaly it should be 25 letters
Magic…
Can you guys please answer my question? I am new to 3d printing.
