Recently started seeing this weird artifact. There hasn’t been any changes with the model as I’ve printed it a dozen times with the same settings. It just started randomly appearing more frequent. I did check older prints to see if it appeared at one point and it did, but nothing compared to this visibly. I already tried searching up every keyword that i could think of to try to find anything relatable. So far nothing. It happens with any filament and any models I’ve printed before with the same settings.
Already at 4.2k hrs.
I’ve already done the following things below
Clean carbon rods and z-axis lead screws
Tighten both belts
New extruder+nozzle
Calibrated multiple times
Tried different firmware versions
I haven’t tested with lower speeds since it was never an issue before and that would likely just be a temporary band aid fix. Any help identifying the culprit is greatly appreciated.
I might have found the culprit, but need to do further testing. Culprit might be the AMS, decided to do a print without the ams and it doesn’t appear to show at all.
Will end up buying a new ams hub for further testing. So far all 4 feeders cause the same issue. Hoping its the hub so I don’t end up spending $300 for a new ams
If anyone ever stumbles onto this, the AMS was causing the issue. Surprised Bambu Labs wasn’t interested in further investigating since I offered to give them the AMS unit. The issue started a few months after purchased and that’s only because I went back to inspect old prints and saw the same artifact barely visible, it likely also appeared on older prints meaning there is a chance it was a defective AMS that got worsen over time.
