Help! Laser offset issue

guys, I’m loosing my will to live with laser and its offset. Every position ( I cand do 4 at the time) is different and doing work repeatedly with accuracy is almost impossible. Attached picture show what has been sent to the laser, and actually came out and the difference. Anyone cracked the code on this one and can help me with it or should I sell the thing and invest in Xtool laser.

Sorry - I’m absolutely zero help with the laser equipped BL printers.

But it seems like you aren’t the only one with this issue. Definitely put in a support ticket with Bambu.

Maybe they have some sort of beta software for you to try?

This guy talks about the same thing and what he does as far as workarounds.

It should not be a matter of a “workaround” Bambu is charging significant amount of money for the upgrade that is not reliable or accurate - in short, doesn’t work.

I’m wasting 20% of material each time trying to set the offset manually. Each time is different so I can’t even use a jig for it.

All I’m saying is unless people like you, the people with the lasers, actually put in tickets and keep hounding BL for a solution, it will probably have not much urgency to fix.

Again, who knows, maybe they have been working on a fix and might have some different version of the software to try.

Judging by what I’ve read, the software / how the camera interprets things.., are the main issue here.

Did you set the correct height for the part?

Or did you measure the height with Bambu Suite? You might try manual measurements because your fixture is higher than the part. With manual, I mean, pick the location yourself in BS.

Additionally, you might want to check if the Birds Eye view camera is properly seated and re-run a BEV camera calibration once more.

My deviations are in the range of a couple of tenths of a millimeter.

If above doesn’t resolve it, I would open a ticket at support.

i feel your pain when i got mine i had simular issues so I made an alignment tool with sacrificial pads to check the offset before engraving also the alignment tool helps keep things consistent when doing multiple items, I also always do targeted measure rather than the auto, and avoid having anything too tall near the measurement site as the lidar will pick this up and will add more height and increase the offset, as the birdseye image appears to also adjust based on the lidar measure. It’s still not perfect but it’s a workaround that makes the process less frustrating.
