How should I upload this scrabble piece it has 3 versions: 1 you print with an AMS 2 you print in 2 pieces 3 you print as shown in this video that I have gotten permission to use in the model description https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaI1G4z-6U&list=PL_GB4oPr3Rq03J0FsDYlg4qHVIV-vxPzv&index=5, I think it should be one print profile but I don’t know how to make the AMS version have a prime tower without the no AMS video version having a prime tower. I also am not sure how to upload it if I have multiple letters, do I make each letter a print profile?
In case your wondering why the 2 piece version doesn’t have a 4 it is because it would be too small to print and assemble.
I wouldn’t do that; it would be akin to print profile spam. As their name suggests, printer profiles are intended for setting different printing methods rather than for different 3D models - or in your case letters. There are exceptions, but not an entire alphabet. It also tends to confuse users.
Place the different letters on the printer plate and let users choose what they want to print or not.
However, you can create three print profiles for the different printing methods;
- AMS
- No AMS
- Single Layer Printing (Video)
However, I would generally advise against uploading too many print profiles. Three are more than enough. Technically, you can also do without the ‘No AMS’ option because someone without AMS can still print the AMS version.
How would someone do this?
Okay, sorry, I need to explain that. I should have done so right away: Of course, this will only be printed in one colour. This would cause your letters to disappear, which we don’t want. Now here’s the trick: you move the font some layer in. This way, anyone can use it with or without AMS.
This is what it would look like: Left with AMS, right without AMS. Now you just have to imagine the object turned upside down; I’ve now made the letter face upwards.
Alternatively, depending on your preference, the lettering can be raised instead of sunken: I don’t like it very much because it’s hard to read.
Or… if you’re feeling adventurous, you can also make it so that there are two separate objects, then you don’t need AMS either. Then you just have to put them together.
As I said, I’m not offering you a perfect solution; I’m just providing some suggestions on how you can proceed.

I already made a option that is 2 separate pieces that you put together but you can’t print the little 4.
