Help with Model

I have been trying to revise this model to resize it for imperial measurements and lumber sizes. The shelf for the board needs to be 1.5 inches and 7.25 inches high and using #8 screws that are countersunk.

I have tried Fusion, Onshape, Bambu Studio and no luck. My CAD skills are definately beginner level. Everything I try either doesnt work or creates oblong screw holes. After 4 hours of trying different things I am turning to the masters for some help. Can anyone point me to how I can get this size adjusted or send me a revised model. I have reached out to the designer but no response.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I am certainly willing to try to do it on my own and tried using ChatGPT for guidance but that was even more frustrating.

Sounds like you are trying to just scale the model. Thats why the holes are going to be off.

Personally, I would start from scratch. It would be a good project to refine your CAD skills. Or even better if the original creator included a CAD file.

Edit: I assume you are trying to use standard 2x4 planks?

2X8 planks. I was trying to get it done quickly and not reinvent the wheel since this one was already designed but in the end I may have to try that.
