Help with PCTG on P2S: Under-extrusion & bad supports

I’m currently printing with AzureFilm PCTG White (EU - Slovenia) on my Bambu Lab P2S and I’m running into a few specific anomalies. I’m hoping to get some advice on how to tweak my profile to resolve them.

Before printing this model, I dried the filament in the AMS HT using the standard PCTG drying settings. I also ran four calibration tests in OrcaSlicer (Temperature Tower, Max Volumetric Speed, Pressure Advance, and Flow rate), so the fundamentals should be fairly dialed in.

The Issues (Referencing the attached photos):

  • Picture 1: There are noticeable uneven surface artifacts (relief-like lines) on the large curved wall.

  • Pictures 2 & 3: Severe localized under-extrusion and layer gaps on the cylindrical sections.

  • Picture 4: The under-extrusion isn’t limited to the model itself; the tree supports are also failing and missing layers in some spots.

  • Pictures 5 & 6: Extremely rough and messy surfaces left behind after removing the supports. The support interface layer seems to be failing.

  • Picture 7: On a positive note, the top layers are very clean and smooth, which confirms to me that the Flow Rate is calibrated correctly.

Here is my core setup and slicing profile:

  • Printer: Bambu Lab P2S

  • Build Plate: Cool plate SuperTack for P2S

  • Chamber: Front door half-open

  • Filament: AzureFilm PCTG White (Dried in AMS HT)

  • Slicer: Bambu Studio

  • Base Profile: 0.2mm Standard (Modified)

  • Wall loops: 6

  • Sparse infill: 30% (Gyroid)

  • Auxiliary Fan: Off

Speed Settings:

  • Initial layer: 50 mm/s

  • Outer wall: 80 mm/s

  • Inner wall: 100 mm/s

  • Sparse & Internal solid infill: 120 mm/s

  • Travel: 600 mm/s

Acceleration Settings:

  • Normal printing & Travel: 5000 mm/s²

  • Outer wall & Top surface: 2000 mm/s²

  • Initial layer: 500 mm/s²

Does anyone have experience with PCTG acting like this? I’m particularly stumped by the localized layer gaps and the extremely rough support interfaces. Could the half-open door and disabled Aux fan be contributing to these specific overhang/cooling issues? Any guidance on which settings to tweak would be greatly appreciated!

Your print temp looks low, PCTG is 250-270C.
240C will likely give flow inconsistency.

Being on the hot end of the range is probably better.

Thank you so much for the tip! You were absolutely right.

I bumped the nozzle temperature up to 260°C and ran another test print. It turned out perfectly! All the previous issues—the layer gaps, under-extrusion, and rough support interfaces—have completely disappeared.
