HF nozzle failure deluxe

I use to say that I have zero problem, today my HF nozzle decided to wreck havoc.

What happened? Did the nozzle detach?

That’s honestly just as impressive as it is unfortunate. Was the nozzle not seated properly?

Is the nozzle clogged? If so, that’s the luckiest non-blob of death lol

The nozzle is a 0.4 HF nozzle. The issue occurred when it attempted to use the backup spool. There is no clog or any other obstruction.

It almost looks as if the block with the spring above the left nozzle got stuck and the filament escaped above the nozzle.

It has certainly done that — filament cutting no longer works. I’ll need to disassemble it and investigate the issue. No damage to the nozzle, though.

What the…

Where is the filament even coming out?

Dual filament guide, left moving part got stuck in the upper position

I already suspected that. Was there some filament debris that might have caused it to get stuck? Maybe a tiny drop of silicone oil to lubricate it a little bit? I have a spare filament guide on stock, but after 1500hrs luckily not needed yet.

Yes, it had somehow put itself around the rod perfectly to make it hang in the highest position.
