Hi I’m new here but need a few answers

Hello to everyone, and thank you for your help….

at the risk of upsetting people, not my wish, i need the following answers. But first a little background.

I have just purchased the P1S, it arrives in 7-10 days. I have taken the plunge but was concerned over the recent hubbub about the recent firmware upgrade.

I currently own a Creality Ender 5S1 and if i explain how I send files etc etc the perhaps someone can explain what i do in the Bambu lab world to achieve the same.

I design in Tinkercad, from my laptop (MacBook) I export the file as a stl file… I then slice it with Cura and send it to my sonic pad via the WiFi address that the sonic pad automatically connects to. Then browser automatically opens and I can click print from my laptop.

So…. What, in basic terms, do i do with the P1S and Bambu Studio??

Sorry if this is a bit long, but I so much want to enjoy this experience

Thank you

Welcome to the forum!

If you plan on using Bambu Studio your workflow would be similar to what you’re currently doing, just with Bambu Studio instead of Cura.

You would import the STL in to BS, slice it and then hit print. A box will pop up with some options like do you want to do bed leveling and whatnot, it will also show which printer it’s going to, in your case it would only show the P1S as it’s your only Bambu printer. You’ll hit ok and away it goes. By default this will be done through the cloud but you can use LAN only mode if you want.

Highly suggest going to check out Bambu Lab Academy. They have some great tutorials on how to use Bambu Studio and your P1S. They are broken down into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses.

Another great source of information, especially for troubleshooting, is the Bambu Labs Wiki. I’d suggest checking it out so you can see what’s available to help answer questions.
