Will i need one of these AMS 1 or 2 Pro Upgrade Kits
If I just got the Bambu H2D combo plus got an extra AMS 2…
Plus, is it worth getting the Bambu High Flow Hotend - H2D…
Any help please…
If you’ve purchased the Bambu H2D combo plus an Extra AMS2, then you should be fine with what you have.
The H2D supports up to two AMS2 Pros without the need for additional power supplies.(As maximit pointed out, this is incorrect, only the first one is fully powered via the H2D. I read incorrectly) Beyond that, the additional AMS2 pro units would need their own power supplies. I believe that’s mainly for the heating function though.
The AMS pro upgrade kit is for the X1/P1, and has the parts needed to make those work with the AMS 2 Pro.
If you want to add more AMS units to your H2D, then you want the 4-1 adapter.

I think you do need a power supply for the second AMS 2, as one can be powered by printer and the second needs to be plugged in for drying. From bambu wiki:
“When the H2D is used with more than one AMS 2 Pro, if some AMS 2 Pro units are used for multi-color printing while others are used for filament drying, then the AMS 2 Pro units used for drying require an external power adapter. The external power adapter can be purchased from the Bambu Lab official store.”
High flow hot end will help with better layer adhesion to make parts stronger and slightly faster speed on the infill. Its not mandatory but a nice upgrade. Just keep in mind for TPU you need the standard hot end for best results.

Just the power supply, unless you plan to connect both AMS units to the same hot end then you need the splitter (you can also print one!). No buffers needed with H2D as those are built into the printer.

Just check on Bambu; it can not get here till early May, it says…
You would think that they would have it in stock…
