I mean not so long ago you had to make your own profiles, tune all of your settings and other fun stuff. I think bambu spoiled a lot of people and raised their expectations that everything is push button. Nothing wrong with high expectations though and I hear where you are coming from, early adopter friction.
No the problem is that they farked Orca Slicer so no more profile tuning can be easily done. We pay a high price for the official tuning and that has spoiled us for sure, but we also lost the ability to tune things quickly by ourselves which made it worse.
Yes for sure I miss orca as that was the only slicer I used with my X1 and P1. Like you said mainly all the calibration tests. I also miss the PA values in filament profiles and other small things like “make overhangs printable”. Im looking forward to when orca is updated for H2D. I will stay with bambu slicer for the everyday convenience and dont mind the extra step of using bambu connect (or developer mode) for various test prints with orca.
