High quality pen set in many colors?

Now that we have cutting and drawing module. Anyone know of a great set of high quality pens sutible for this ?A pack with many colors is preferable.

I am in the same boat, it keeps talking about official pens but I can’t find any on their sight and no one seems to know what works. I hope this gets a reply.

I know of plenty professional artist markers but I don’t know if they will fit in the H2D pen holder thing. I don’t have it yet. If you want the best alcohol markers that are refillable you want Copic Markers they are $5-8 each. They are available in various size packs. While they are expensive they are considered an investment when used with refill inks. I have about 100 of them with ink refills.

Just a suggestion, until Bambu catches up with official products check out 3rd party products for the Cricut. It’s been around for a while so there are lots of companies making products for it…

Would you buy chance be able to post the pen dimensions to compare with the ones shipped with the upgrade kit? Don’t want to buy something and have it not fit.

Cheat code for y’all looking for pens:

any shape or size of pen which is under 1/2" diameter will fit.

You have a 3d printer, so design and print yourself a collet for the pen.

If you need a bigger diameter, just redesign the entire pen holder and collet, to a larger preferably metric dimension. I’d recommend 15mm or bigger because then you can hold the big chisel sharpie, or some refillable pen would be nifty.

I use a sharpie permanent set but beware if you’re using permanent pens. These sharpies like other permanent pens I guess are alcohol based and you don’t want to use them on thin piece of paper. If you do, the ink will go through the paper (the mirror image will be visible on the other side) and the alcohol will wash away the glue on the plate as it will dissolve it and the back of you piece of paper will be sticky.

I think the’re good on heavy cardstock paper but I would suggest using acrylic (water based) pens as a safe approach. It won’t be waterproof so it depends what you want to do with your drawing but if it is to remain inside it’s the safest. Sharpie has water based pens which are more suitable but again if your cardboard is thick enough regular permanent markers will be fine.

Sharpie size (the regular ones) are perfect for the holder, the extrafine tip ones are just fine to be gripped by the holder at full depth, I was worried it won’t hold them enough but it’s fine although it does not feel like it’s as secure as the regular (bigger) ones.
