High Temperature Plate PEI not usable on A1

Ok, but pay attention that our Engineering side is damaged, not HT one. And not damaged while removing the printed detail, but damaged from the hot plate, because the Engineering plate seems made of material which melts.

Not sure how this translates to A1. If you put any kind of buffers between hotplate and the plate it will be uneven.

Not if the buffer covers the whole hot plate… as it does in the X/P series.

suitable for x1 and p1
could A1 listing be a mistake ? with store ?

Indeed, you are right. I was thinking stupid things while looking at the red rectangles

Apologies as I just reused a picture from the wiki as I didn’t have one.

Can you share link? I can’t find it as a spare part in Bambu’s store.

princore.de/products/magnetplatte

a have chosen 280mm so i can cut it by myself…

I got mine with the printer. It should be suitable, not just typo in their page.

Yes but they ship with textured pei as default .
And perhaps that ad a little down the page could do with updating to suit as its the reason i asked

Well, the conclusion is that in the A1 model, the high-temperature plate can only be used on the engineering side. If we use the high-temperature side, the engineering face will melt. And all this happens because the A1 doesn’t come with an intermediary sheet between the bed and the printing plate that some of you are buying separately. It looks like I’m going to submit a ticket to Bambulab for a product I haven’t received yet. :man_facepalming:

Small addition…
What i tried:
-I put the High Temp Plate on top of the Textured PEI Plate
-run a Bed Calibration over the Printer Touchpad

  • printed the science Test while have selected Textured PEI Plate" during slicing.
  • print:

an got an medium quality first Layer…
Then i just removed the Hot Plate and hit “print again”, so there was not even the small bed leveling it does before print, yust the 2 Contacts with the Nozzle in the middle. And got the 2nd medium quality first layer.

my conclusion: Z Offset is meassured (and set) with only the one contact between nozzle and bed just before the 2 Filament lines are drawn…

so, it should work, to put the extra Magnet Tape Layer under the Build Plate.
But the nozzle whiper has to be lifted too, with 2 Build Plates, the Nozzle does not really reach the whiper anymore…
We will se…

Tried misalignment of the plate and sacrificed a plate to see what the damage can be if left unattended for a full print

Really bad is the answer lol
