Ive only recently gotten my first printer.
Have only printed PLA (Matt / Metal) until now.
Prints were perfect from the beginning, but recently they started to show these strange patterns / holes along the surface.
I dont understand what causes this or what its even called.
Would be great if someone could help me figure it out.
Cylinder in the video was printed on my P1S, material being PLA Metal.
Pretty much standard settings except 3 walls since it needs to carry some weight.
Most likely moisture in your filamlent. The moisture converts to steam while printing, which is what creates the holes in your print. This can be resolved by drying your filament prior to printing with it.
Are you using the default 0.4mm nozzle? This could also come from a partial clog due to the metal particles. I think Bambu recommends a 0,6mm for all materials that contain particles to prevent clogging.
The Bambu metal filaments do not contain actual metal.
I thought that those glitter filaments are made by adding small aluminum particles. But well possible that I mixed up the different PLA types.
