Hollow objects printing solid?

If it’s an object that is intended to be printed in vase mode this is perfectly normal. Such objects are designed as solid, but when you select vase mode it prints the object with no infill, no top layers, and a single outside perimeter that is a continuous spiral from the bottom to the top. You can (and should) specify the number of bottom layers to print which helps the strength and adhesion between bottom and sides, but then it starts the spiral on top of that base for the rest of the print. Also note that it may be advantageous to select a wider extrusion width which makes the result stronger.
