I’m getting absolutely horrible surface quality on my outer walls literally overnight. The last couple models printed perfectly and now boom, unintentional fuzzy skin.
P1S with Amolen silver silk, generic pla silk profile. I’ve sliced this model before with zero problems and am attempting to run it with the exact same slicer settings and suddenly I’m getting this surface quality. On the second model it only showed up on the layers that had overhanging sections on the back, but showed up across the entire wall in those layers, not just the overhangs. I tried turning off slow down for overhang option and it made zero difference.
On the cylindrical piece it’s terrible all the way up, but strangely the first layer lays down beautifully and the infill looks fine.
Did a cold pull, tried the filament in different Slots of the ams, rewound the spool in case it was too tight, tried other filaments, still seeing this. Help, please!
And before I posted I:
*Dried the filament at 70 for 18hrs
*slowed speeds
*increased speeds
*Printed a temp tower and raised/lowered temp
*cleaned Z screws, guide rods, carbon rods, checked belts
All with slightly varying versions of the same results
Wow, okay…■■■■ me and this forum I guess. So many helpful answers. I’ll just go to Reddit.
