Has anyone seen where the hot end is scratching the back of the build plate and even middle when calibrating. Is this a bug that needs to be fixed? Just checking if anyone has seen it and got it resolved. I have the A1
The back tab of the build plate - Very normal, part of startup sequence, it digs and pushes hard. It’ll be bare steel in no time. No worries
Middle - Not normal, got pics or elaboration? I’d say as a precaution, check the screws on the back of your nozzle holster, a common loosening that commonly interferes with the tap-to-z homing.

Welcome @byron36065! As Bullocks said, the scraping against the back of the build plate is completely normal. When I was new to my machine, I noticed this as well. Bambu support confirmed that this is completely normal and healthy. Later, they even added a section addressing this on their sales pages for print beds.
Regarding the other scraping issue, I have experienced a similar thing on my X1C. What I did was:
- Turn off then unplug machine
- Wash build plate with dish soap and sponge (both soft and hard sides only do this for textured PEI )
- Rub ISO alcohol onto the plate, let it sit for a minute, then rinse it off (this is done in conjunction with the washing)
- Put the bed back on the printer and turn the printer on
- Run both a device check and complete calibration
- Try printing again.
