Hotend Burn Out

A couple days ago, I experienced multiple failed prints on the right-side nozzle. The error said extrusion motor overloaded.

As instructed, I performing multiple cold pulls. I tried heating the hotend to 260°C and pushing through filament. Nothing worked. I kept hearing a clicking noise whenever the printer tried to push filament through.

When I removed the silicon sock to check on the hotend, I discovered the tip was all burned out. Is there a clog in there or is the actual hotend damaged? The left side still looks clean.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

That happens sometimes, i dont think the hot end is damaged in any way from looking at it. Try to heat up a hex wrench and push it down the hot end to see if its clogged.

If the clicking noise is there there after the hot end is cleared you will probably need to remove the lower filament guide to check for extruder clogs, any loose filament pieces inside.

Also this is when a bronze brush comes in handy, to clean the dirty hot end.
