How bad is it? - Damage to heat bed surface

Hi folks,

During maintenance today, I accidentally scratched the surface of my heat bed. I had a brain fart and pressed Y instead of Z while the bed was fully raised, just as I was moving it up and down to spread grease on the Z-axis screw.

After the scratch, I managed to make the area completely flat again by scraping off anything sticking out, but the top mesh of the heat bed sustained some damage.

Question: How relevant is this? I imagine there could be minor variations in heat dissipation, potentially leading to a slight difference in bed adhesion in that spot, but I would like to hear from your experience.

No electronics or power in the top surface of the bed so I would not worry too much, as long as the plate sits flat I would use it.

no problem at all, just sand it smooth and you’re good to go. it’s too small of a gap to make a difference when you’re using quality build plates that are at least 0.3- 0.4mm thick.
