Did not realize this when I bought the printer, the wire from the print head to the back was apparently looped when it was put together by Bambu, even had to double check to make sure that was not something I had done.
Seriously though, there’s also damage/wear on the PTFE clip and side of the e-chain, so something has happened in this printer’s life that wasn’t right.
There is nearly zero chance the printer came this way from the factory. Someone has tried to work on this printer.
This is easy to fix, you’ll need to disconnect the cable from the printer head, unloop the chain, then reconnect everything.
Somehow came like that. It was pretty easy to fix, just pulled off the PTFE tube, and rotated the part around, thankfully the clasp on the chain was not broken and it is working. Unfortunately that did not help any of the print quality.
I am getting some very weird offsets in the z-axis, But it was only near the front right of the build plate, where the door closes. The print has 2 area that stick up 8”, but they are only roughly 0.75”x1.5” the one at the back left prints perfect the one at the front right will print perfect for a while, then get some banding that was repeating at 6mm, it doesnt start till about half way up. My thought was that the chain would bind just enough the knock the printhead slightly off on the Y-axis
I did grease the z-axis rods with white lithium grease, and had to reseat one of the silicone caps on top the rod that was at the front right. Also aligned the x-y belt and retensioned. Will know in about 6 hours if that helps.
