How does one Host a Contest?

Hey guys! I have a framework (ExoGuitar) that I went WAY out of my way to make sure it was modular and extensible and I’ve been looking for ways to get the community motivated to build parts for it.

I noticed that there’s been a few contests lately that have been marked as “Hosted by Creator”. This might just be the push it needs! But I can’t figure out how to apply to host one!

How do I apply to Host a contest, and is there a ballpark cost for it that I can bring to my community and see if we can work towards?

i looked in to your guitar models because i m relativ new to all of this here and find it interesting… a guitar… 3d printed…

yes, it is a cool idea… and i believe that the sound of a electric guitar comes mostly from the electronic that is build in to it…

but realy interesting would it be if we could print parts of it in dimesions like 600x400mm or so…

this would be realy interesting i believe…

Well, that’s the thing, it’s a platform, kinda like Dummy13 or Gridfinity. It was designed with the idea of modular parts so other designers who want to design a specific style of guitar (for example, a flying v) only have to make the head and wing set using the interface specs for ExoGuitar instead of having to create the entire thing, then they can print the ExoGuitar neck and core and then attach their designs to it.

ExoGuitar itself is already a successful venture; I’ve had hundreds of people make ExoGuitars now… but only one or two people have gone further to make their own parts. This is what I want to incentivize with a contest.
