So I just had a weirdest notification - user managed to rate my profile which doesn’t have any downloads or prints…
I wonder… is it due to downloads & prints from same user in short amount of time not counting towards overall counts?
I gotta say that’s quite surprising.

It looks like you can only get one download and print from a single user per design. If the same user has already printed another profile on the same design, something like this can happen.
If they have download 5 things before yours on same day. non count. maybe same for prints

It could also be from the China site.
This right here is the answer. The most stupid thing makerworld has done to “not to fool” the system…yeah right…
Or the smartest thing, because that way then won’t give out points and with that less points, less coupons redeemed
Thanks! Well. That’s good to know, but it looks weird nevertheless.
At least it’s good to know the print went well

Also, they can’t rate a profile if you download the profile and print it manually. If its from Handy or Studio, works ok, if its from the website and downloaded as 3MF, the system doesnt know they printed it, so it wont associate that account with a print profile.
Actually, i always download as 3MF and even change to my profile 99% of the times. And it counts every time as a print.
I think i clicked once on the “open in bambu studio” button. And the app, never used it to print anything too. Always 3MF or, if available, stl files.

I have the same problem with the download counter. I got a 5 star review, but the counter is still stuck at 0.
As you can see it’s not “a problem” but a phenomena integral to the way MW counts stuff in order for the system not to be gamed too much…
But on what criterion did they introduce this “change”? By doing so, the makers are not enticed to bully their jobs. Maybe my model was downloaded by 2000 users, I always see the country at 0 and I think he didn’t like it
This was before my time, so old timers may be able to answer to that. All I understand it it was made to combat gaming the system via multiple downloads. Maybe your model was downloaded thousands of times by people who download multiple models per day and simply don’t get counted but I wouldn’t worry about that. If there’s a person who downloaded and rated your model, chances are there’s at least one more who’ll find that model interesting enough.
Some people think it was to reduce spam, some think it was to further reduce points. Either way most of us dislike it still
