How to create a printable .stl from my .jpg

I want to create a file from my .jpg that I can print on my x2d to use for a lightbox image. Any help will be greayly appreciated. TIA Cal

It’s best to use the online-tool from Bambu on their website, which is designed specifically for this purpose.

By the way, it’s worth checking out the other tools on MakerLab, too.

I believe the answer to this is the same as I shared a couple of days ago to a similar question.

For what it’s worth, Simplify 3D V4 has an import function that was removed in version 5

You can probably try one of these methods:

  • One way is to use software like Blender or Tinkercad to manually create a 3D model from your image. These tools offer a lot of control but can be complex if you’re new to 3D modeling. -
  • Another option is using online converters so some are free and simple to use so it can converts PNG, JPG and SVG images to STL files online for free.

i thought you could drop bitmaps straight into the slicer, or am i thinking of a different slicer?

Obviously it won’t be able to setup lithoplane layers etc.
