I am asking more out of curiosity, but how do they make the picture of the model being printed show up on the A1 LCD?
Is there a way to do this in Bambu studio?

You create a file in Bambu Studio. Then you send this file to your printer. The file is sent as GCode. This file contains an image of your model from Bambu Studio. And this image is displayed to you.

The image shown on the screen is a preview of the plate that is generated in studio and packed with the gcode that is sent to the printer.
Or would you like an explanation on how LCD screens work?
A 3mf file is sent to the printer, it also contains the g-code and pictures. This is an archive, like a zip file. You can unzip it using 7-zip, for example. It contains a “Metadata” folder in which the png files, i.e. the images and preview data, are stored.
The A1 itself does not generate the preview image; rather, it is already stored in the 3mf file.
Yes, you save your file as usual as 3mf. Then unzip the file as described, e.g. with 7-Zip, and open the metadata folder containing the images.
