On most model pages, there’s a list of models on the right, under Print Profiles. I’ve not found a way to select and print those. I’m missing something simple!
For example, on Easy Split - PTFE Y-Splitter by ByteSlinger - MakerWorld there is Highly Optimized PETG on the right. How do I select and downloaat?
You just select the one you want before hitting the big green button.
When you have selected the specific profile it highlights in grey.
The selection.
Once selected.
After pressing the big green button.
The selected profile will now be opened in BS.
Alternatively, you could have selected download THAT 3mf or THAT STL.
I recall seeing suggestions elsewhere to use a more prominent color to highlight the selected profile.
The current gray color is too subtle.
OK, thanks! I see that if I lower my head to look at my monitor straight on. At a downwards angle, it’s all but invisible.
Are you saying the yoga workout isn’t beneficial while trying to see the selection colour?
Website design is not everyone’s forte. And it takes some experience in handling and developing GUIs to design a flawless interface that every user can get along with. Yoga has absolutely nothing to do with this, this comment is superfluous.

I’m guessing you are a failed web designer with a chip on his shoulder. It is a shame as you listed software and hardware engineering as your vocation.
Now being serious for a moment. Making light of annoying situations where users cannot easily see something is not only warranted, it is good for morale.
Good UI and web design aren’t difficult, the fact so many don’t bother putting in any effort or themselves in the position of the user is the sad state of affairs these days.
The weird thing is, that the MW site is a decent portal website with some well-implemented features.
The fact that the site is better than many others that perform similar actions doesn’t mean it is perfect and shouldn’t mean it can’t be criticised or improved.

I select a differnt option in the Right hand side and it constantly only lets me download the original (ie top of the list) stl / step file etc. For whatever reason the 3mf do download the different versions but the files always have errors

Hi there. I’m having a similar issue when looking at the model “Compact Foldable Phone Stand” by Pork3D.
When I click on the print profile named “V1.1 Optimal High Quality 0.16mm layer, 2 walls, 30% infill” released 2025-02-24 and click on the green “Download STL/CAD Files” button, I’m presented with the file “Compact Foldable Phone Stand 001.stl” dated 2024-06-26. It is the same file regardless of which print profile I select.
I’ve observed the exact same behavior with the model “Cable Organizer” by Dio765. Let me know if you need more information, and thanks for your help!
Not always the case – e.g. some of my textured fidget cubes have different patterns that have been uploaded as different print profiles, so there are distinct models for each.
I mean you shouldn’t really be above your monitor in the first place, thats not really how you’re meant to be using it, general health and safety recommendations are you have your monitor at eye level so that you’re not having to look down
I dont want to make a new topic as Im struggling to find out out to download the small size of this 3d model One Click weekly pill dispenser V2.0 regardless of the selected print profile (RxMinders or Polish names) I can only download the large size files.
Occasionally, due to network latency issues or an inaccurate printer selection, not all print configurations may be displayed.
I know this is old but I’m having the same issue and it’s quite annoying. It would be nice if there was a “Files” tab like the Printables website that has any different variations.
I usually try to download the .stl so I have a copy of the file saved and because I prefer to not download the 3MF or have it open in the software since it changes many settings that have to be changed back after printing. Maybe I haven’t used the website enough but it seems like the downloaded settings usually don’t print as well as my preferred settings.
Today I’ve tried printing a couple things for my daughter but can’t download the file I want and it always defaults to the first profile. One is a glider and there is a version with a more durable wing that has 2 Layers instead of 1. I highlight the correct profile and press the download stl button and I get the same file over and over. Another is a fidget that is quite small and there are 2 parts and 1 has almost no contact with the build plate and keeps failing. So I’ve tried downloading one that’s 150% in size and get the same model over and over. I even tried downloading the 3MF in case it was increased in the slicer and not a separate file but it doesn’t download anything different.
Anyways, it’s annoying and probably why I usually go to other websites when I download things. Guess I should also mention that I’m using the website and a PC and not an app
The “print profile as a subselection of model” interface makes more sense on their mobile app, where the company has more access to monetizable data
I also cant believe the amount of (to me: spam) print profiles that are just 1 slicer change (scale, mirror, wall num). But it again makes sense to the business case of mobile users, who are choosing to interact with a limitless creative technology through a captive portal and must have all aspects of the creation handled by someone else
You have to select the profile you want on the list, so for example on this model (not my own or affiliated just an example)
You need to click on the specific profile you want to download as by default the page will highlight the profile at the top of the list, this one also has an option to expand the list of profiles so the one you want might not be immediately visible
Not sure how this works in handy as i don’t use it for printing but i believe handy won’t show you profiles that don’t match your machines
