How to edit k factor with no wifi

My bambu printer does not have access to wifi due to things out of my control (policy at work) and i have configured a new filament via the calibration tools, but i can not find any where in the filament settings where to add my new k factor.

any help would be great. Thanks

p1s with AMS unit. All 4 slots have different filaments in it

Use OrcaSlicer. Pressure advance is stored in the filament profle and overrides any values that might already be set on the Device tab. You are not limited to whatever number of K values Studio allows (16 per nozzle size?). You can also back up your profiles so that a factory restore does not wipe out your calibrations.

I think Bambu chose to put the K values on the printer for direct printing from Makerworld, but that is of no benefit to you since you have no wifi.

I derped around with my setup a little in bambustudio but I dont think youll be able to if youve never bound it at all. The newer machines can do this by setting it on the machine itself and then slicing as “auto” but the P1s screen aint got the pixels to help.
I agree orcaslicer makes this easy, its just a text field on the filament page. There’s probably some way to use bambustudio’s calibration tab and the “manage results” to fake a bunch of things in but im getting the vibes this wont work if you dont have a “device”.

I wonder if I go to the advanced settings of the filament profile, and add a line at the very bottom of the filament G-Code and see if I can put the pressure advance g code setting there and see what happens

How to Apply and Store Your PA Value

  1. Locate G-code Settings: Open Bambu Studio, go to the Filament Settings, and click the edit (pen) icon next to your filament preset.
  2. Access Advanced Mode: Ensure Advanced Mode is toggled on (usually at the top right of the dialog) to reveal the custom G-code fields under the Advanced tab.
  3. Add the Command: Scroll to the Filament start G-code section and insert the following command:
M900 K0.0X ; sets pressure advance

Use code with caution.

4.(Replace 0.0X with your calibrated K-factor, e.g., M900 K0.035)*

I have not tried this method, but it seems reasonable. I gave up on Studio shortly after the debut of Makerworld partly because of the way Bambu chose to handle pressure advance.

excellent, thank you. I am bout to give up as well on studio. if i do get wifi, i wish i could use orca slicer to send the file to the printer over the lan while still keeping it in the cloud but it wont let me. time to use the sneaker net i guess haha
