How to embed an object?

Hello,

I have two 3mf files. One is an insert for a homelab rack and the other is a single keystone. Is there a way that I can put the keystone on the front panel of the insert?

I feel like I saw a guy do something similar when he made a tray for a pair of pliers. He cut one file into another. Its been so long since I saw that video and I can not find it any more.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes this is easy to do by changing the part type to a “negative”. You will need to export the one part as an STL and then import it into the other .3mf file as a negative part. Select “Load” as shown in the image below.

if you don’t do like that, then you have to merge objects to be able to lift them around
