Currently living in Europe and planning to emigrate to Uruguay, I noticed that there is no Bambu Lab web shop for South America. What is the best way to buy Bambu Lab hardware and filament in Uruguay? Or in the neighbouring countries?
There are a few users (reportedly) from Brazil and from Argentina on this forum, that have complained in a number of their posts on the difficulty of acquiring Bambu printers, spares and filament in those countries, on the fact that Bambu has no presence in South America, and that imports of such products besides being very expensive, have added on top various import taxes… also, on the fact that the very few (unauthorised) local vendors selling Bambu printers and spares are charging very hefty prices without offering any post-sales support or warranty.
I would recommend asking Bambu directly on whether they have any authorized vendors in the region, and if they do, who they are and where are they located.
Find an authorized vendor pretty much anywhere, make contact with sales and ask about shipping. They like money, theyll charge you, probably a lot, but should work out. Do some research ahead of time about Uraguay’s international postage handling / customs / tariffs to get a rough idea of what to expect.
I asked Google “is there any authorized vendor selling Bambu Lab printers to Uruguay?” and got the following response:
Yes, Macrotec is the officially authorized distributor and vendor for Bambu Lab printers in Uruguay. Buying from an authorized dealer ensures your purchase comes with original parts, local training, and technical support backed directly by Bambu Lab. [1]

Local Makers on Bambu Lab in Uruguay
Local makers have discussed their Bambu Lab purchasing and multi-color printing experiences in Uruguay.
“The A1 is good, at macrotec.com.uy. Every Monday they have Maker Weeks, where they give discounts. Check if the A1 shows up in one of those, and if you can, buy it with the AMS (for printing with multiple colors)…I bought the P1S, which is better for…”
