Hi!
I am still new to 3D printing. I have quickly noticed, that the Mobile app has very limited options. So most of the time, I try to use Bambu studio - especially when I made some changes to the print options.
But this also requires using my PC. So i figured, why not use a USB stick and to store the changed 3mf file and print it directly from the USB drive on the printer?
The USB flash drive is a SanDisk with 64 GB, prepared like stated in the wiki.
I could not find any guide on this topic. So I just tried the following steps:
Download the file in Bambu Studio
Make the changes to print options and hit “Save”
Copy the file to the USB Drive
Then insert the drive to printer.
When I look up the file on the printer or even in the USB section in the mobile app, the file does not appear. I also tried to format the drive on the printer itself, but the behaviour is the same.
The main reason for this procedure are the limited options in the mobile apps. When I leave my house in the morning for work, I don’t want to start the print immediately. I would like to wait until everybody is awake, the photovoltaic system produces energy, and then start the print remotely from the mobile app.
What am I doing wrong? Does anybody have a guide on how to successfully print from USB flash drives?
Thank you!
