How to load 5th external filiment?

I have the Bambu Labs A1 + AMS Lite. I love it.
In the options of the printer, I can load a 5th “external” spool of filament and use it in the filament settings of BS, but I can’t figure out how that works physically. The AMS lite hub only has input connectors for 4 filaments.

How does it work to add the external one? I thought maybe there must be a “purchase separately” hub that has 5 inputs, but I don’t see that. I must be misunderstanding how this works, so explain how it’s used if I am.

It’s an either/or situation, you can’t do 5 at once. Here’s a step by step for using a single spool:

I am with @PrinterMcgee.

You can print an adapter to give you 5 paths to your print head so you can leave the 4 AMS lite PTFE tubes in place while still having a separate one to allow you to use the external spool without removing one of more of the default ones.

This is one example of that solution.

You basically either

pull one of the PTFE tubes from the AMS lite hub, and route one from the external roll to it
print a 5 to 4 adapter like MalcTheOracle suggested
add a Y-splitter above the AMS lite hub, thus allowing one PTFE tube to come from the AMS hub, and another from the external roll
add a y splitter at the AMS Lite (I used The Smoothy as I added the AMS Lite PTFE Guide + a remix that let me mount it on the AMS lite itself… and I then run filament directly out of a drybox next to the AMS lite)
