I’m having trouble printing this large part. Due to its size, I can’t print it horizontally and have to orient it vertically instead. However, when printed vertically, the part warps during printing. I’ve tried adding supports along the sides and reinforcing that section, but neither approach has resolved the bending issue. I’m printing using PLA. Could someone help me?
Find attached the picture and 3mf file (the one attached I removed the strength modifier)
Does this happen on both sides, or only on the left side?
My first advice in that case would be to try to lower or shut down the aux fan on the left side after the print is started. The aux fan is usually causing this behavior. Also lowering the exhaust fan might help, as long as the chamber temperature is not getting too high.
Also the ambient temperature where the printer is placed might be of influence.
Alternative is to try to change it’s outside dimension so it fits your printer. You are 1.5 mm short.
Of course I don’t know the design requirements.
