How to set layer height

Im confused about layer height. I see in BambuStudio where to set layer height, but when I enter different values, the slice preview window always shows the same number of layers (424), as if the numbers I enter make no difference.

It’s the drop down. BBL has complete setting for each layer height.

Yes, I see that. But when I change the value, and tell the preview window to slice, the number of layers does not change.

Oh, wait a minute… if I make each layer half as tall, does it make the final object half as tall, or does it maintain the height with finer layers?

Oh, sorry. You’re right. Yo can change the layer height with settings in “Layer height” field. The drop down gives you only optimized settings for the “main” layer height. But, If I change the layer height to a half, the count of layers are nearly doubled.

Layer height 0.1 mm
