How to solve this when printing?

I don’t know how to call this issue I am having when slicing this file.
The base gets a “step” layer on the base. What setting can I change on Bambu Studio to make the surface smooth?

Thank you

Hello,

Looks like to me it’s not 100% flat on the bottom

Things you can try

  • Drop the model into the bed say .5 by moving it down in the Z direction

  • Right click on model and if using windows os and click " Fix Model "

  • Cut the model bottom off some

Keep us updated :v:

Hi!

Thank you for the tips.
I clicked on the Fix Model option but the base still with the same issue on the top layer.

I’ve highlighted the parts I am trying to make flat.

O sorry I did not see that the first time lol

What happens when you change the top surface pattern ?

Unless this model slops off in the design ?

No matter what surface I try, it stays basically the same.

If you move the layer sliders what do you see ?

Is that part of the model lower than the center main section ?

Yes, it looks like the layers are lower than the center.
The thing is that on the preview screen, it’s flat. The 3D model has a flat surface.

Do you have a link to the model ?

What is the layer height set to .16 what happens at say .2 or more ?

Do you have another slicer to test this model on to see what happens ?

layer height is 0.2
I am playing around the model scale and I was able to reduce the layer issue to a small area. I will keep changing the values until it goes away completely.

You could cut the bottom off and make your own base plate.

I was able to fix this issue by rotating the model a few degrees.
Thank you!

Your top surface was not parallel with the print bed. This is what was causing the anomaly for future reference.
