On my AMS lite, i have 2 PLA and 2 PETG selected.
However, I find it hard to select between the 2.
In one project, I want to use PLA. Afterwards, in a different print, I want to use PETG.
When i go to the PRINT PLATE window, i can switch between PLA and PETG.
What i have been doing, is removing the material type i do not need from the list.
I think perhaps there is a misunderstanding of how slicing for PLA and PETG works?
A print has to be sliced for EITHER PLA or PETG. This means a print sliced for PLA can’t/shouldn’t be printer in PETG and vs versa.
When a print is properly sliced the “Print Plate” window will present you with the correct filament loaded in the AMS and non compatible filament will be grayed out.
Basically, reslice the part with the correct filament and the system will work as it should. No need to remove any filament.

I get what you mean.but how do you do that?
I have a part, i have both PLA and PETG listed on the left window for my AMS lite
i then go to SLICE PLATE
i do not see an option to select if i want to use either PLA or PETG when i SLICE PLATE.
When a print is properly sliced the “Print Plate” window will present you with the correct filament loaded in the AMS and non compatible filament will be grayed out.
If i want to use PLA, PETG option is greyed out (or vis versa) , even both PLA and PETG are loaded onto the AMS.
like i said before, i need to completely remove either PLA or PETG (from the left window) if i want to use one of them.
In the prepare tab you select what filament is used for the model. Click on the model, press the number the filament is listed as on the left hand side of the screen and slice the model.
Sry but i dont understand.
I have slots 1 and 3 as PLA with 2 and 4 for PETG. See image below.
I dont know what do to next.
When i go to PRINT PLATE, all i can see its only PLA print options. I cant select PETG because they are greyed out.
What i have done in the past is instead of having PLA and PETG (as shown below) I would delete PLA, so that only PETG options are shown, or the other way around.
However, its rather annoying to do this everytime.
Or alternatively click on the model (on the build plate/rights side of the screen) and then press the number on your keyboard that coincides with the number next to your filament listed on the left side. So in your case 1 or 3 for PLA or 2 or 4 for PETG.
Either way ends in the same result. The model is associated with the filament type you choose and will be sliced accordingly.
OH!
OMG! IT WORKS
your second option works.
selecting object then pressing the correct # on the keyboard. It changes the the objects color and you know it works
i did not get it to work by your first method.
When i try your first method, i get 2 options for the filament. Its either change the filament color or change filament type.
THANKS!
