After replacing a Bambu PETG HF spool in my AMS2Pro with a Generic PETG spool from Matter Hackers I can’t seem to get the AMS to sync with the P2S printer.
In Bambu studio the generic PETG was added as a filament and is assigned to slot 3.
However, there is no green triangle appearing in the #3 box and after assigning filament 3 to my object on the plate I get an error message after selecting Print Plate “ Not all filaments used in slicing are mapped to the printer”
I have read through the Bambu Studio Academy section and frankly there is so much information and the images do not match what is in my Bambu Studio that I am completely confused what I am supposed to do.
I have tried the Syncing AMS button > ‘Syncronize now’ in the toolbar that I see but even though it says Successfully synchronized, the Spool remains Unmapped as shown in the popup “Synchronize AMS Filament Information
So I am getting confused about “mapping” versus “synchronizing I think.
Can someone give me a simple explanation of this process? It’s is still complicated to me.
If I need to post images do I need to use the “upload” button at the top of the ‘Create a New Topic’ window?
Seems that among the dozens of forums I have used over the years they all seem to be a little bit different when it comes to attaching images.

in the device page on bambu studio, did you manually set what filament it is? if not, it wont work. I would try both mapping and overwriting. try overwriting first. if not, try disconnecting and reconnecting everything
I may have missed that part. I will do that when I finish the current PETG HF print.
EDIT:
I did miss that important step. All is good now.
Okay! Im glad I could help you get this resolved!
