I recently repaired my X1C after it had been out of commission for over a year. One of the first things I did was upgrade the printer firmware to 01.08.00.00. Afterwards, I read about the firmware upgrade hang problem with 01.08.00.00. Unfortunately, I had not upgraded my AMS yet to 00.00.06.40; it’s still back on 00.00.04.xx. Attempting to upgrade the AMS firmware results in the upgrade process blocking on 0%, just as if I’d tried to upgrade the printer firmware from 01.08.00.00.
Is there any way to get my AMS firmware upgraded? Thanks!
Welcome to the forum.
If you don’t have a significant amount of info stored in the printer, I would advise you to try a factory reset. Otherwise, did you try a hard reset?
no, i hadn’t tried anything of the kind; i was hoping there might be a way to get the AMS firmware updated naturally. i’m not having any problems with the AMS, and don’t see any killer features in the release notes; i’ll probably just allow it to chill at its current version until a firmware update for the X1C emerges that allows a normal update. thanks, though!
