I’m trying to use a shape I created from one image to cut a second image. I thought the Boolean tools would allow me to subtract the images, but the option is always grayed out. I can’t find any instructions on the Boolean tool in Bambu Suite. Does anyone know?
Have you combined both objects?
I tried the Attach and Group options, but the Boolean option was still grayed out.
You should not need to merge/assemble/group, but be certain both shapes are selected. If the Boolean tool is grayed out, it usually means only one shape has been chosen.
Position the shapes and draw a box around both of them, or Ctrl-click both items Check the Objects menu on the right. The top item will be subtracted from the bottom item; drag to re-order.

OK, you mentioned “shapes” which clued me in. I created two simple shapes: an ellipse and a star, and I can use the Boolean to subtract the star from the ellipse.
My original attempt was using imported images. Is there a way to use Boolean tools on images? I’m trying to make a missing puzzle piece, and I have these 2 images: Puzzle piece I intended to create a template of the missing shape, overlay it on the puzzle image and use the template to “cut out” the new piece.
In the meantime, it was suggested I try GIMP to process the images and outlines, which I did successfully! I now have a Suite project to cut out the puzzle piece (and several blank outlines to build up the thickness). I thought Print Then Cut would allow me to send the project to my (2D) HP printer first, and I would place that output in the H2D for cutting. When I click “Make,” Suite wants to send the project straight to the H2D which doesn’t make sense. I don’t see an option to “print” the project.
More knowledge! After you click Make and then Send, there is an intermediate step that pops up allowing you to print the design on the 2D printer. It found my HP automagically.
