Hueforge print spam is becoming a big problem

Yep, I don’t care how many low effort/quality spammed hueforge prints there out there with no print image and no instructions how to choose filaments with compatible Td values to get a good result. As long as I can filter them out from the search results since 100% of the time I will not be clicking on a hueforge search result since I’m just not interested in printing other people’s hueforge art even if it is well tested and presented unlike certain ai artistes out there.

Hueforge flat prints as well as flat decorations from vector graphics should be illegal on every 3d printing platform. I’ve been looking for some dnd stuff on thingieverse and had to scroll through 4 pages of flat BS.

And they’re back uploading again… 57 uploads so far in 4 hours. I’ll admit it is a nice colorful break and its at least original from the normal spamming.

Yeah I just saw his post in the FB group. Judging by how many pictures he posted we’re in for a loooong night.

I purchased HueForge. Personally, I’ve used it once. I’m not impressed. Very slow to produce a print in low quality that can be achieved more quickly and higher quality by some other 2d printing method. I see it as a fad/gimmick. But then, most of what I see 3d printing used for, is not what I’d waste my time and filament on.

At least they have the nouse to print their goods, mclanesmemories | Published - MakerWorld on the other hand seems to get away with their dodgy image practice.

If YOU do not like the prints, don’t bother with them. Some people like the Hueforge prints, and it does nothing to harm anyone.

I like the color blue, everyone should wear blue and no other color.

Oh hell yeah!

did they remove this i dont have the option and i hate yawnforge

It freshly appeared today, it might be a gradual rollout or something.

Thank you! Now lets hope they actually tag their stuff with that.

The situation is dead obvious as pointed out by other users already : No one in charge cares about these ‘creations’ only about the number of hits and downloads they create on the site.
QUANTITY beast quality all the time.
If you want to know how well this rotten concept works check websites like Instructables and how they went down the drain for the users .
From being run and looked after by the community it all turned into bot based system where people only stand a chance with the creation is they follow all posting and publishing rules and ‘suggestions’ to the letter.
And like here you can find users posting literally a few hundred creations per year.
Also enough only doing to make a living from it - not matter what.

A very simple solution would be to just provide a space for all AI and otherwise not really creative projects.
Tools, organizers, vases, boxes, articulated creatures - we have a spot from almost anything these days.
But I guess it would be too logical to provide a dedicated spot for stuff create with limited or none user interaction by the creator…
Another interesting question would be the license status of those using Hueforge and such as they offer commercial and non commercial use of their software.
A personal license for example would not allow a user to sell or offer their creation for download.
And if it is a higher license the license MUST be be displayed with the offered product or download for the files…
Just saying…

totally agree 100% if i want painting i will buy paintings lol

I’d agree for some of the low effort 2 color random super hero pictures, but HueForge can make some very impressive pieces of art. They have a tactile feel and a 3D effect. That’s much more than a inkjet photo.

So, I havent bought the software, but after doing some MW reprints, I do kind of think its pretty cool and will most likely purchase the software soon. The amount of prints available, vs other catagories, well its goiing to happen to any “new big thing” - its organic, and will ebb and flfow as things become popular.

A new movie, suddently upsike in hueforge prints ffor easy likes for X superhero or whatever.
Its just human nature. Its like the Bambu contests, to motiviate and inspire to create.

I think the better way is whats been said, if you hate it, put in blocks\filters. 3D Art is here to stay and whilst not 'ART in its true form, eg its just a conversion, it still brings works of art to wider audience through a different media - thats a good thing, may as well embrace it and do better to manage it than rage against it.

The argument against hte low-effort releases, an argument can be said to block and more heavily handed control if becomes bot-like - but… with the new MW system, I dont see people doing these to gain that much $$ \ voucher advantage anymore…
