Humidity indication on AMS devices

I posted the below quote in a topic AMS 2 Pro Status 10 days ago. It was buried in some unrelated stuff so never got anything definitive regarding the humidity readings from my AMS units.

Also, what are you showing for humidity on your units?
My two V1 AMS indicate 36% and 34% while the AMS 2 shows 26%.

I recently posted a question relating to AMS firmware and about having just noticed all three of my AMS units had a moisture indication associated with them. I had never noticed that indication before. So 36% and 34% reflect live readings.

AMS_V1-1: 36%
AMS_V1-2: 34%
AMS_V2-1: 26%
Today
AMS_V1-1: 29%
AMS_V1-2: 24%
AMS_V2-1: 28%

You can debate the accuracy of the starting number in the V1’s (mid-30’s) but they are now both mid-20’s. So a 10% improvement.
Humidity and dryness/moisture content are two different values and I’m not sure humidity can act as a surrogate for dryness

I’ve run dryness tests myself and as an employee of a 2000 TPD paper mill, the folks doing QA/QC were constantly doing dryness tests on our product, white copier paper. Dryness involves weighing the fresh sample, sticking it in an oven for a predetermined amount of time, then weighing the dried sample.
(Wet weight) - (Dry weight)= Xmg H₂O (quantity may vary mg, µg).
Xmg H₂O ÷ Ymg Product = % moisture
