Any good ideas for how to get some traction, maybe even try boosting me a little I have uploaded only 1 file by now. But planning to do much more.
If you want you can check it out at this link:
My main goal is to get at least level 7 so please help me, really need some advice.
I think you just need to build out your catalog more. Like maybe a goal of getting 8 designs up? Then start evaluating what else you can do, how things are going, what’s working and what isn’t working.
If you’re just looking for level growth, I think that comes down to interacting with makerworld. Leaving comments, getting into discussions. I’m not sure all the ways, but it is a social game, from what I understand. If you’re getting more designs out there though you’ll end up going up in levels just through the course of posting designing and the interactions that come with that.
One important thing to know is that this forum isn’t connected to the points or level system on Makerworld in any way. Nothing you do here will increase anything on MW.
If you want to increase you’re level on MW you need to:
Print other people’s models directly from MW (not through downloading).
Upload more models you designed yourself.
There are many other ways but those two will get you to level 7 in no time. Now having said that is it safe to assume you want to reach to level 7 so you can message people? If that’s the case and your goal is to ask for likes, downloads, boosts etc… that’s a BAD idea and ultimately will end badly.
I want to be able to contact people, but not for likes and other stuff. I want to ask questions and even congratulate them on their progress or models.
I also know the forum does not give me points.
Oh, and hey could you help me with this issue, read the whole topic and see if you have an answer, would love the help.
I also want to have as many ways as possible to get points, I also wanna get some gift cards to do the free printer trick, but need loads of points for that.
I only have one model now maybe you could try it out and print it directly to help me out a little, but you are not forced to do so. Just search my name Done-it and you got my account with one model uploaded for the Easter contest.
…and the comments section under the model is not good enough to congratulate them?
you should really stop asking, this is your first reply in this thread apart from your initial post in which you already mentioned that.
you got the same ways as everyone else and it’s all under your profile to track your points. You can get points for using MakerLab, Bambu Academy, and printing other people models each months. Had you done that since…
…you’d be level 7 easily by now and more than halfway to your first gift card.
that’s not a trick and you shouldn’t think of it as a trick either… feels a bit like it the way you’re asking for people to download or boost. People here don’t get gift cards because they ask other people on the forum to download their models.
…and one that according to your description on the model page comes with this warning…
Warning:
The plants must be evenly distributed around the circumference of the vase, or it may tip over. The water holding compartment has an open top, and if tipped over the contained water will be spilled out.
…you probably want to get started on uploading more (quality) models if you want to make your points with the designs you upload. If you don’t think designing models is your kind of thing… there’s 50 points each month for printing and rating models and a one-off 100 points for the Bambu Academy courses. Maybe that’s a better route for you then.
Oh ok sorry, but what you don’t know is that I contacted directly through messages each of the helpers here after they posted. So, i didn’t post on the thread but sent messages to them.
I am not asking for makerworld boosts or advertising my models on forum. Only thing is that if some of you experienced guys would only download one or only like my model I could get to be in more searches and get on my from there.
There’s no problem with that at all… but why would you expect people to download, let alone boost your model then? You’re basically saying your design has issues.
I did that to show that I am very thankful to them for helping me out, I don’t care about the thread, its my problem and kinda nobody needs it except me.
That’s not an issue its just something to avoid from getting it tipped over, its only possible to tip over. I tested it more than ten times before posting to not tip over, and it did not because when with water for plants the water keeps it in place, but it’s just an extra precaution so it definitely does not tip over.
I’m guessing you might be really young. People don’t need you to contact them here. They don’t need you to contact them on Makerworld. So far you’ve responded to several threads here with info that isn’t really correct and on some threads you’ve posted the same thing multiple times.
You have one model and you keep asking people to download it and like it… stop that. Get off the forum, grab a caliper and get to designing! You actually posted another thread where you asked anyone to design something to help with time lapses… go design it! Practice, practice, practice!
Sorry I know its not okay to do that, but I really do the same for others too, including many of you here, downloading and liking even though I don’t print the stuff.
If you want I can remove my topic, this was only a subjective one. I have a real big issue with my printer though. But my answers have been useful to many until now, I have lots of experience with printers, both types (paper and 3d ones). Sorry I caused so much trouble. I will remove thread if you want.
Problem with that is that my cad is not really made for stuff like the timelapse thing, and don’t trust myself to make something to replace parts on printer.
I would gladly appreciate if somebody could help me with my powersave feature not working on the A1 mini, which really bothers me and have found no solution yet.
