I bought PEI Build Sheet Kevlar texture Original from Bambu but it’s not detect !
I don’t need to print ArUco (QR alike) from 3d plastic I need original. Why X2D not support even original which expensive?

On the US store product page for those effect plates there is a warning (in 2 places):
For X1/X2/P2 Series users, please disable the Build Plate Position Detection in “Settings ->Print Options → Enable the detection of build plate position” when printing with the 3D Effect Plate to avoid error reports.

Feels like they rushed to release that plate before their firmware team could reprogram the machines.
Is there really such a big market for texture effect build plates? I rarely see models that are designed to show off those surfaces.
There are many people use texture but they are using copied build plate which work fine but X2D have many sensor detector so we should close that options. The sound like you said they should update program…
I assume that sharing a model that makes use of the build plate as a primary feature would not have as many downloads? Although, one could argue that it could be a Makers Supply item though? It really is no different than a set of screws or a battery when it comes right down to it.
I met the same situation when buying a “new” engineering plate, which had a different marking from the older , and it took 6 months to get a firmware able to recognize it
Next time i wonder if Bambu is disabling detection of competitors plates on purpose, I will remember they can’t even detect their own ![]()
