I got something I wanted and then something new came out

I just wanted to create this post to help people when Bambu Lab comes out with new hardware. You can just read this post and then feel better.

Recently, I got a Bambu Lab P2S. After looking around, I decided it was exacly what I wanted at a price I could afford. When it arrived, I started using it. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted and does everything I was hoping to do with it.

Then, Bambu Lab came out with some newer models of things. They did fancy new things for not much more money. I felt sad.

Then I needed to print something. So I fired up my P2S and it printed exactly what I needed, exactly how I wanted. I felt happy.

There will always be new things that come out. Figure out what printer will do what you want it to do within the constraints of your budget. Then buy it. Then print stuff. Over time you will figure out additional printing desires and requirements. Then some day you will buy another, fancier printer. And a few days after you buy that one, an even fancier printer will come out.

So. Get a printer. I recommend a Bambu Lab one. But you do you. Then print stuff. Never look back.

Peace and love.

In a Nutshell: “Buyer’s Remorse” & “Early Adopter’s Regret” & “Fear of Missing Out” throw a party.

For some, only one of these applies; others invite the whole gang to the wedding. What could possibly go wrong?

It’s interesting, anyway, that this is so common these days that we now have terms for it.

Condolences on your loss (of new printers). But, there are always positive things to come… => Congratulations on your new choice for “skirt’“ (P2), at least for the time being. After a while, you’ll get bored , or it will get to old, and you will just drop this one to chase after newer, younger and much brighter ones. It’s called the life cycle of things. Enjoy it while it lasts.
